Report: Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox already in production stage

According to a report it is confirmed that Microsoft’s next-gen system is indeed under development at Flextronics in Austin, Texas. Flextronics manufactures the current Xbox 360 and other devices for Microsoft.

It has to be noted that Microsoft will not show off a new system at E3, so we have to go with all these rumours to gain some knowledge of what’s happening currently.

“Xbox 360 has found new ways to extend its lifecycle like introducing the world to controller-free experiences with Kinect and re-inventing the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships,” said Microsoft in a statement to IGN.

“We are always thinking about what is next for our platform and how to continue to defy the lifecycle convention. Beyond that we do not comment on rumours or speculation.”

Flextronics, meanwhile, declined to comment as they obviously are under NDA. So even a generic comment is a no-no.
